Here is the stack of vintage electronics next to my tv. It was all my Grandpa's. (He was an audio buff) Everything works perfectly, except for the tape player. It turns on fine, but it won't play anything. The spindles won't move. I even have a working 8 track player, with a whole bunch of my grandpa's 8 tracks. I even have a Technic's record player, but it needs a new belt and needle. It isn't hooked up. Below this cabinet, on the floor, I have a whole row of records. I have this sound system connected to 4 giant Polk Audio speakers. Polk Audio SDA 5 A's Here is a picture of the 5 B's, since they don't have one of the 5 A's, but that is basically what they look like, with the grills off. http://www.polksda.com/monitor5b.shtml (They are loud as fucking hell lol.) The reciever I have is as follows. http://www.vintagetechnics.info/rec.....vers/sa424.htm That is the exact model, and it is in perfect working condition, even though the panning left-right knob has some static. Even with the bass and trebel knobs at default, they are loud as hell, and sound amazing. These were made in the 80's and they still work perfectly, as well as still beat alot of today's speakers. It seems company's just don't produce quality speakers anymore. Or they put quality tags on speakers that sound like shit. I often have to only have the rear left and right speakers on, cause with all 4 on at once, it is fucking LOUD!. I can't even turn it past 2 on the volume knob without my door and window rattling and me going deaf, lawl. Once before, when my room was empty, I had my door open, and the kitchen windows were open. I stood out in the driveway outside the kitchen windows, with something playing on the speakers, and I could hear it perfectly. :D Lawl, when I first looked at the original price tag for these speakers, I was like 0.0, and that was for only 2 of them. =0
