Draytex Takes Over [by ErintheKobold]
“Wait… these aren’t Draythix’s colors.”
I stared at the new costume in confusion. It looked a lot like his dragonsona’s design, but the colors were wrong. It was red instead of coppery orange for a start, and the markings were black. The suit also seemed strangely rubbery, perhaps even latex-like, rather than having the realistic scale pattern I had requested. Had the manufacturer made some sort of mistake, or had they been lazy?
For a few moments I fumed at the thought of how much money I had wasted on the suit, but as I looked it over I began to find it strangely alluring. The colors gave the dragon a sort of intense feeling, like it was a bit more wild and unrestrained than his dragonsona was. I couldn’t help but wonder what it would feel like to try the suit on…
The suit had somehow become wrapped around my arms and legs as I had been looking at it. I spent a few moments trying to untangle myself from it, but found that it just seemed to tighten around me as I did so. It was then that I realized something was wrong, that the costume was moving with a life of its own.
In a panic, I tried to pull the living latex off of me, but it was too late. The suit had begun engulfing me. Extra seams had opened to accept my limbs, and were now closing around them. I was so distracted by this process that I didn’t notice that the suit’s mask was slipping over my head until it my vision was blocked. After a few terrifying moments where I thought the thing was going to suffocate me, I suddenly found myself looking out of its toothy maw.
I was startled as I heard a quiet laugh coming from all around me. “Don’t struggle so much, you were taking way too long to put me on,” said a voice which seemed to come from the suit itself.
“Wha… get off of me!” I said, as I tried to wrestle the living costume off and figure out what in the world was happening. Neither effort was very successful.
“That’s not a nice thing to say to the dragon you’ve always wanted to become,” the living suit said, though it seemed more amused rather than upset.
“You aren’t even the right colors!” I found myself saying, as if that would actually stop the thing. At this point, I could feel the suit’s zipper sliding closed along my chest, but with my arms being restrained I couldn't stop it.
“I think you’ll find that you’ll like me just as much as your copper friend, if not more,” The suit seemed to be grinning as it spoke. “You’ve been suppressing me for a loooong time, but now we’re going to have a lot of fun…”
I have been experimenting with an alternate version of my Dragonsona. While Draythix is a protector and represents what I aspire to be, 'Draytex' represents my more intense and suppressed side. He is also a living suit. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun exploring this guy :D
