I'm surprised that "Humor" isn't in Themes...
but anyways, I hate to leave old things in this archive so I decided to put up a written piece of sorts. Practically an idea I have swimming in my head. As with all ideas, they never leave my head but I had to put up this piece...
This is the introduction of the Wanderer's Cliff Notes, a homage to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galexy." Like the Guide, the Cliff Notes is designed to give info on the Universe, how to live in it, and most importantly, how to survive in it. Just my attempt in my rather sardonic humor...which I think has failed. Either way, I hope people read this despite it being short. I do have a sense of humor...it's just buried somewhere in the backyard...
...and yes, that is me if I should be such a researcher. Shameless self-insertion at its best.
Edit: I decided to write it on here as I forgot that people may have trouble trying to read it...that and I also changed the file to .txt
Wanderer's Cliff Notes: Ryuen Vergausse’s Introduction.
The Wanderer's Cliff Notes is a strange document. It is produced by a league of wanderers who decided to band together and gather information about the universe, life, and what makes said universe go around. They did come to the conclusion that money makes the world go around, but that was tossed out for being too cliché. That and the researchers found out that there are cultures out there that didn't believe in money. Of course, that also came from space pirates who didn't believe in private property.
What's unique about this never ending piece of documentary is not only is it in some strange electronic book form nor the Wanderer's League motto "Think Fast" printed in bold yet comforting letters, it's the researchers who gather the data by simply wandering. Yes, they are the source of the Cliff Notes’ constant updates and revisions which indeed never ends. These brave folks who decide to lead a lonely yet vast life are equipped with a special researcher's version of the Cliff Notes which is used to absorb any information ranging from how to properly wash your hands in a terrain world to how to sing through some reeds stuck in your nostrils. These roaming seekers also wear stylish cloaks that are not just there for looks and protection from elements. These are actually the signatures of the wanderers as the use of a cloak is quite extensive to a resourceful roamer from hand-to-hand combat to a tool to escape from a crude jail, even to coax something out of a den which can be quite dangerous in some worlds.
And what of these roamers of the universe? Are they a race of space farers with nothing to call home? Are they an ancient race whose travels have become endless? Or are they just a bored travelers? You can probably bank on the last item, as all of them came from where ever they came from. From four footed feline centaurs with duel sexes to simple humans to even creatures with super human powers and yes, even magic wielders the Wanderer's League is stumped with various races with a very bad case of wanderlust.
In fact, this lengthy introduction focuses on the owner of this particular copy of the Cliff Notes: Ryuen Vergausse. This cleaver yet strange creature has made a name for himself amongst his fellow wanderers with numerous entries, his most famous one being “How to Escape from a Volcano using your Cloak and Cliff Notes.” Formerly a human of no note, he decided to take on a form of a fuzzy fox-like creature known in some worlds as an eevee. However, unlike other eevees which stand only one foot tall and on four feet, he has taken an anthropomorphic form of the creatures, standing at a diminutive five feet tall and on two feet. Because of his size, his body structure and build has become feminine, which catches plenty of attention of female beings who love to see two men engage in sexual behavior much to his dismay and frustration. Despite such circumstances his experiences in the universe has earned him the ability to survive almost any situation, and yet such experiences has never tainted his innocence. Should he die however the Cliff Notes in which you would be reading right now would have self-destructed but that hasn’t happened hasn’t it?
