Thanks, Dustin. That really means a lot. Especially with this poem. This is actually the second pass. I'd written a previous version but my friend (Wrath's Dawn's player) didn't feel it fit. I admit I felt a bit crushed but mostly because I realized he was right. I'd gotten too attached to my flowery words and my own feeling of cleverness lol. So I really thought about it and the character. Once I looked past my characters love of them and really listened to his reminding me of just how murderous she was (at one point she led us in slaughtering the crew of a pirate hunter ship because they weren't useful to us and could potentially interfere with our quest) I realized just who I was dealing with.
That whole campaign was a very, very morally grey one...when it wasn't full-on dark-and we were the 'good' guys lol.

I've been playing since 1993 with only an eight year break in between where I wasn't in any group. My current group has been playing together since around early 2014 and we've had a LOT of memorable adventures. In fact due to our DM needing a break for health reasons I'm taking on the mantle of DM. After all these years of playing D&D and other assorted systems it will be my first time running a D&D game. I ran a Call of Cthulhu 7th edition game back in '99 but that only lasted a day and I wasn't as experienced a player or as observant a person then as I am now. I'm hoping things go a bit better this time around. WIsh me luck! :D
