Due to having been to Anthrocon 2019 and having a fondness of Red Lantern by  rukis,

I had proposed if I may draw a map of the famous Island where the story takes place. Mataa'Atel Shanivaar, or the fourth Island in the chain as the sailors call it, where as the Huudarii call it 'The Isle of Tears'.


Whichever the name is given, the Island is beautiful, gorgious yet that beauty showcases treachury around every corner. The forests and jungles are untamed, wild and thick. Only a few spots of land on the western area of the region were useable for cultivating the famous Divine drug, due to the slopes of the hills and mountains allowing for sunlight to shine on it most of the day.

At the same time, the reefs made travelling to the Island difficult, with only a slip at the south allowing proper passage and the hills and thick jungle at the north prevented any decent sort of landing.

Alongside with Mataa itself having its closest port to the south of the Island, colonising the southwestern region was the most profitable, least dangerous.


Construction of the town on Mataa'Atel Shanivaar started roughly around the 920's, with labourers being called in, or forced, around the 930's. It is during this time at the year 937, the young jackal know as Amon, alongside with his mother Ishayan would arrive on this place.


Having sold herself into slavery in order to pay for the trip to the west, not knowing what she signed on for. The woman and her child passed through a large slave quarter city held by one of the Huudarii clans, the Sura clan.
After process, they were shipped via land towards the Shanivaar Isles.

Sparing Amon, at age 2 from a dreadfull fate, the woman eventually stole an item that caused her to sell her own child to work in the fields. At around age 4, Amon learned to cultivate the plant known as the Divine. … A drug that makes anyone who uses it 'see dreams', or worse. But is highly addictive.


Then in the year of 940, Amon's father Kadar was able to make a bargain with one of the Immar clan members, Rajne Immar. Having tricked Kadar into killing the higher members of her clan, setting Rajne as the next in line for head of the house, she agreed to spare Amon the life in the fields.

Amon's contract was bought within the next year and his first night as a brothel worker was at age 6 as a result by a hyena known as Lord Rezanu, who hmself used and forcefed Amon Divine in order to keep the child from being 'troublesome' during their 'special' nights.

As Amon grew up and the town of the Mataa'Atel Shanivaar grew into the small kingdom it is today, where outside laws have only a minor grasp, the golden jackal learned the harsh truth that his mother had put him in...
