"I am not a stranger to the dark
Hide away, they say
'Cause we don't want your broken parts
I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars
Run away, they say
No one'll love you as you are
But I won't let them break me down to dust
I know that there's a place for us
For we are glorious
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Another round of bullets hits my skin
Well, fire away 'cause today, I won't let the shame sink in
We are bursting through the barricades and
Reaching for the sun (we are warriors)
Yeah, that's what we've become (yeah, that's what we've become)
I won't let them break me down to dust
I know that there's a place for us
For we are glorious
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
This is me
and I know that I deserve your love
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) 'cause there's nothing I'm not worthy of
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh)
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
This is brave, this is proof
This is who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come (look out 'cause here I come)
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum (marching on, marching, marching on)
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I'm gonna send a flood
Gonna drown them out
Oh
This is me.
-This Is Me from The Greatest ShowmanOST
She'd left the coronation gathering at the Blue Palace, nodding her respect to both Soon-King and his betrothed. Neither Bear nor Dragon betrayed their past feelings for one another save for a glance that took a little too long and the sad upturning of the Jarl of Windhelm's brow, but Iona, for her part kept her distance emotionally, leaving the opulence of the palace and the presence of the man she loved behind gilded doors.
It was Farkas, usually quiet and never accused of being wise who spoke up at the doors to the city.
"Didn't he once tell you that a Dragon does not bow?"
"Yes, Farkas, and what of it?" The stables were just below the last gates to Solitude. Soon she could be free of this all.
"Then go back in there and remind him why he fell for a Dragon and not a normal woman in the first place," he challenged through a sideways grin. "Remind him that no woman will ever be good enough."
Ulfric had heard the hush in the crowd, and he'd turned to find her standing there, offering her hand to him, eyes unyielding, and he'd smiled. Damn him, he'd smiled.
"One last dance between Dragon and Bear?"
Oh the heartache. Why do you do this to these babies, Weedurrr, why? WHY?

She becomes Harbinger after Kodlak's murder, shortly after Farkas and Vilkas find Kodlak's journal and find that she was named by him as his successor. Before that, Aela takes over, and there's a fair bit of tension between them after it's found out that Iona was his pick.
