I didn't want to spend the money to buy any BSG pins off of Ebay, so I decided to make my own. This is one of the two sets I made, both are lieutenant rank with junior flight wings. These went off to my mate,
kojac and I even made the box too.
I do plan to make the both of us BSG duty blue uniforms when I get the chance.

I'd go with the plasticard. You can also get really nice metalic paints at the hobby store that will adhere to the styrene very well. I almost wish I did that; making them out of metal is more trouble than they're worth. Trying to clean out those little groves with tiny pieces of sandpaper is enough to drive anyone crazy.
I must say these are quite awesome, you've done a spectacular job. :3 The ones on ebay are quite pricey, aren't they?
I've been wanting to make a flight suit for ages - love the ones in BSG. It's just near impossible to find the right material to make those out of, since the material they ARE made of is no longer for sale anywhere as far as I know. :\ ah well.

I've heard that even if you do find the fabric, it's more than $50/yard. If your not a stickler for the exact colors from the show, you could probably get away with metallic spandex. http://www.distinctivefabric.com/fa.....t=METALSPANDEX
