(Just to avoid any confusion, TK and I are just friends and aren't dating. Probably don't need to say that but couldn't hurt to make that clear so no one gets the wrong idea. I may lean into it in the story but that's just for dramatic reasons and because he is a very good friend.)
Two big blubber bros decide to go to the annual city festival. As lanterns blind the night sky in a neon haze of clamor and celebration. A maze of stalls and smells that beckon the gluttonous and inquisitive. In the middle of the boisterous crowd and thundering of fireworks, a warm flicker strikes the rotund walrus. He turns to his towering companion and asks a favor. To steal a small moment of his time, that he'll remember forever.
I find myself at a loss on what to say about this piece. Originally commissioned it in 2016, completed in 2018 and went unpublished until... now. It's impossible for me to unwrap my feelings for this pic from the theme of time and patience. Most likely fitting as it's probably one of TK's most detailed works. I told him to go all out and it shows. There's a lot to take in. Some may point out flaws but, to be honest, the more I look at it, the less I see them. And the more I realize that, when given the opportunity to show off and do something really big, he didn't choose to do something his audience usually asks for like hyper muscle or whatnot. But a scene that's incredibly sweet and lovely. It feels really nice to see that. I find myself at an utter lack of ability to convey how much that means to me, so I can only hope that it will somehow translate.
And beyond that, I hope to see him continue to expand his horizons in time. You've been through a lot TK, but know that wherever this ship of life may take you, you've collected a lot of cuties who'll follow you to the end. Thank you, TK, for everything~
