This was originally drawn as a collaboration piece, where I did drew the background while the other drew the character, (absent). Nevertheless while making this, I always intended it to be inspired by the world the story takes place in.

Which an experimental idea where I'd like to imagine the way insects perceive colors and thus I thought it be fun to make the world have this surreal feel to the landscape. From the cyan sky, magenta rocks and white rocks.
