I finally had time to work on stuff I wanted to do the last couple of days.
So, I'm trying something new and easier for armatures. This is the start of the armature for an alien dog that
zexidous suggested. He suggested a weird alien dog that had six legs. Not wanting it to look like a monster from Final Fantasy 8 or the alien dogs on Avatar, I asked myself why a dog like creature might evolve 6 pairs of legs. The answer: Normal legs for running, and an extra pair of hind legs for jumping or extreme bursts of speed.
This is just what I did for today in a little over an hour. I need to make some changes. I need to add a little space between the two sets of hind legs, then I need to make the spine longer. Then add the head (obviously). After that, I can start lumping clay on it. Hopefully the clay with armature will hold up under the weight without collapsing. The copper wire I am using is for electronics, not armatures, so it may be too flexible to stand with the clay.
This will be put into scraps once I have something more to share on this.
So this is what I did art-wise today, guess what I was working on yesterday.
