A commission for a d&d lycanthrope character from Stelera over on twitter!
This was a fun challenge to do, I wanted to do a mid-transformation to really sell this was the first time he'd been through it.
Hope you all enjoy!

Incredible. I love how you show that shattering effect with the word bubble to imply either how the pain is breaking his mind, he's going feral, or any other number of possibilities. It also adds that piece of tension and suspense that really sells this piece. I'm sad we don't see the moon, but this is still an incredibly well drawn piece full of expression. I don't just see this piece, I feel it. Well done.
Thank you for all your kind words- they mean a lot
I really wanted to capture the fear and horror of the first transformation, as the commissioner wanted the very first transformation, and this character was actually a monster hunter himself- so he knows full well what's coming next and out of his control

Apparently the character was made for d&d so, kind of a combination of both?
I know that its kind of dodgy with the rules system, kind of up for interpretation, but the commissioner talked about how they wanted him to not be in control at all- and almost kills his family which sparks his adventuring to find a cure or learn how to control it for their safety.
So he either wont have control either at all or for a long while depending on what happens in their game.
From what I gathered hes very inspired by more traditional werewolves more than modern compared to lycans in the base game though.
