Looks like it's supposed to spit something.

The tip of the tongue is the end of a thin channel that runs up its length and connects to a advanced saliva gland that can produce a acidic like substance, similar to what helps break up food in the stomach. It usually aims at the eyes, or general face of a victim as it is usually the most sensitive area to disable and help disorientate quickly. (Think the dinosaur from Jurassic park haha)

Specifically it looks like it's supposed to spit something hallucinogenic.

hallucinogenic? haha not quiet. But I am sure once we make these for everyone, people will come up with their own backstories and ideas :)

That answers my question. I saw the tongue with frills and the opening and then below it the claw and was trying to figure out of the tonguetip had a retractable slashing claw. The odd keyhole shape below that still has me puzzled.

Now I keep thinking of this critter licking it's food like a fly. *splurght-nomnom-splurght-nomnom...*

I actually love your design for the head - very nice shape and the antenna are very unique :)
My only concern would be if the feet are not a bit too long/flat maybe o..o ?

I designed the feet to be long and flat like allot of the larger liazards in my area haha. The idea was that these guys run on all fours.
They do look pretty long and bulky, but I guess that was just for the overall look aswell haha.

The design is so cool ^^ for some reason the head thing makes me thing of an angler fish

Ohhhh, I'll be grabbin' one of these when they come out. Parts are so close to  rooth (me) that I can get closer to The Perfect Rooth with this! (as well as wearing it in its pure form from time to time ;))
