I like the divided cape/coat idea. Does the tail go through the same opening? If so, I'd call that one of the most practical adapted clothing designs for anthro/tailed critter folk I've ever seen.

The one on the bottom is super charming, miss two tails.

I mean geebus, I wish more people paid attention to how a tailed creature would deal with daily life. XD Like chair structure, clothing, all that good stuff. But nooo, most of the time it's just people in fur coats with no further thought behind it whatsoever. Sigh

The two-tailed individual came up after pondering about how they would emulate mammals. XD I was thinking about kitsune before I added the markings on the tail which gave me an impression of a skunk. Poor thing.

If I had a clue of the anatomy of these things(, I'd oblige. But who know what they look like, they all wear clothes from ankles to chin. There could be anything under there.

My approach to the anthro anatomy problem has been to just draw humans, myself, these days. They're hard enough.

Oh yes, humans are tricky as it is! And then combining the anatomy of a human and an animal in a convincing way... fffffff

I like how in the graphic novel MAUS, at one point the author just basically says 'fuck it' and draws the characters (mice till this moment) as humans in /mice masks/. They go back to usual a little later, but it was awesome.

I'm fond of that one in the upper right. It has that swamp feel to it from the tail, feet, and arms, but it's not something you'd worry about bumping into like you would for most swamp things. Also how it's well dressed and well kept. It's a really charming character.
