
My brother found this out in the woods while squirrel hunting. Incidentally, it was the only thing he found that morning.
If anyone would like some detailed pictures of it let me know, I find that skulls make for good reference material. I think it's from an alligator snapper, because I don't think common snappers get nearly this big. It's about 10cm long. Apparently it doesn't take much brain meats to be a turtle, because the brain meat chamber is maybe as big as my thumb.

I remember when I was little I was visiting my grandparents (my dad's parents) in North Louisiana and we had found a snapping turtle.
