We All Start Somewhere (Human form rendition)
Well lookie here, a boring old hunam has appeared~!
It took me some time, but I think I managed to find a way to draw myself in my style, in a way that is accurate enough, while still having some level of physical appeal.
It's a harder balance to strike than one would think, to draw themselves: We all tend to see ourselves a little different than others see us.
I wanted her to be *Me*, as I am in real life... basic, non flattering form, small breasts, plain features...
But I'm also told I'm cute, which I have a hard time believing... but I ignore that negative internal monologue, and tried to make something that *was* cute, while still looking like me.
So~!
It's not extremely apparent from this angle, but I *am* still wearing that magical collar and Amulet that Keys Granted me.
Canon-wise, I was male in the past, but after being turned into a female form time, and time, and time again, some of the magic began to stick, gradually changing my gender to female, even when the collar is inactive.
My clothes are the same casual fare that a woman in her early to mid thirties might wear... simple top... cardigan... form fitting pants, and boots that are designed to both look appealing, and work functionally.
More than that though, in this particular picture, one of the things that might not be readily apparent, is that I am also set up to be able to shapeshift reasonably easily, if need be. The top is a thin fabric, easily tearable... the cardigan, easy to slip on and off... the pants are made of a thicker substance, but are quite soft and stretchy, and easy enough to shred through, if need be.
The shoes are designed with zippers along the inner side, and snap-on buttons on the outer side...
This means, that if and when I start growing paws or what-have-you, they can split open and apart easily, keeping my shifting feet from being trapped as they grow, which can be *quite* uncomfortable.
I debated drawing this with me in my "Cascade" uniform... the outfit I wear while working at The Cascade resort, a fantasy resort ran by Lunarkeys (The magical collar was a sort of "Sign on" bonus). I imagine it being something utilitarian, but also aesthetically pleasing... And also capable of snapping loose during shapeshifting, in order to avoid ludicrous clothing costs to me or the resort.
Since my main job at the resort is a stewardess, as well as a "Flight Instructor"... I teach newly transformed fliers how to use their new wings to soar through the clouds above the resort, in an open-sky lounge known as The Loft...
Being able to shift quickly in the job is an unusual and entertaining side requirement for me, and other tutors and/or entertainers at Cascade.
Anyway, Boring old human, I know... But I tried to offer some interesting tidbits about it away. ;)
Oh, One more thing...
This is the first of a six-part project I am working on...
I am going to be drawing my six different forms, then putting them side-by-side, to scale, to show size difference between each one. Considering the size differences between the different forms are *quite* diverse, it should make for an interesting final drawing.
