Made this fancy lad for a competition hosted by the Small Saga Discord. The contest itself was to create a character inspired by some sort of fact about rodents. I chose to illustrate an effect of the behavioral sink presented by John Calhoun's "The Rat Utopia Experiment". I will be keeping him around, as I have already done a fair bit more with him in the month since his creation.

Curious if given that he's a mouse/rat anthro if the title is a reference to the "mouse utopia" experiment (another commenter also pointed this out).
Definitely with the characters mixed eye expression and weird grin with his teeth certainly conveys a look of slight madness; I also like that even though the face looks a bit freaky the pose is really relaxed (conveying a feeling of almost being ok with being crazy or something).
Great job on the lines, costume details, colors, shine and shading effects. This turned out really good.
