Shadows
Shattered mirrors
Show what’s real
Some broken hearts
Can never heal
No returning
To the past
The love between you
Couldn’t last
If shadows hunt
Who hunts the shadow
You’ve won the fight
But not the battle
A single teardrop
On ivory skin
Passion of wildfire
Burning within
A laughter that never
Quite reaches inside
And secret feelings
You try to hide
Preventing you
From your goal
As the shadows
Take their toll.
