It's a somewhat popular statement in online discourse, some variation of "Screw Romeo and Juliet(or The Joker and Harley Quinn). I want a love like Gomez and Morticia Addams." It's also an interesting and somewhat humbling comparison which my beloved devotee of the devil and I have received several times.
*tilts her head, smirking* You know, I can't really disagree- that is, if they were both women, I suppose. *titters*
From the superficial elements of our shared taste in wardrobe and decoration to our mutual interests in the darker things of the world, to the much deeper elements of shared outlook and goals in this world, trust and honesty, learning from each other, loving with ferocity and thoughtful, passionate depth and truly, truly not giving a fuzzy rat's ass what the world thinks of us and our family- I can certainly agree and humbly accept the comparison.
With our every moment together, she drives me to be a better person and I have no choice but to praise her for the blindingly beautiful queen that she is in my world.

Gomez and Morticia Addams personify a type of relationship that is sorely lacking in this world. It doesn't matter what gender you are, what counts is how these two were truly in love with each other and with their family, and how that family, despite all of it's bizarre quirks, was a very united family working together across three generations: from grandma to the kids. They enjoyed life together, the parents were very active in raising their children and played with them often. Many families could benefit from taking some advice from how the Addams lived.
