Did anyone else manage to get one of these LED badges from "FuzzylogicEscapeRoom"?
They were close to being all sold out while I was at this years AC. But I managed to get one of the LED badges and decided to go for this green LED version of the badge - it is a tiny bit retro being green LEDs looks like a bit like an ancient old terminal!
BTW you can change the message with software via USB on this device. And if you email fuzzylogicescaperoom (from memory they have a gmail account) they'll send you a window$ version of the software. I have a copy of the window$ software and "manual" (its just one page) and if anyone wants me to I can put a copy up somewhere.
However after a bit of pokin' around online, I managed to find another program which lets you control the badge from linux also. The program is here but please note since they were selling different coloured versions of the badge I do not know if this piece of software will work for them all; as it turns out there's several versions of this badge - some usb-serial, but mine uses usb-hid. Its a case of try it and see and if the USB ID of your device turns out to be 0416:5020 it should work!
