Because he could possibly create some kind of time paradox something like turning the present in a modern caveman stone age world (just a caveman stone age version of the modern world something like the Flintstones having stone cars and stuff) and creating a society where everyone only wear ragged fur clothing while not wearing any pants or underwear. Or he accidentally did something that change the present that cause him to become a dumb cavegirl that travel from prehistoric future to a much more prehistoric past which causes the future to becomes more prehistoric. Or maybe he somehow wind-up getting stuck in the past as he is unable to take his cavegirl costume and he unwillingly becomes a cave-wife to a dumb caveman while finding out that the cave-people are too dumb to understand his modern knowledge.
