Of course, “He” is the only thing on Amy’s mind following a record shattering Olympic performance. It doesn’t matter that the pair just lit up the score board with a maximum score. It doesn’t matter that one of the judges was so moved by the routine that he decided issuing a perfect 10 just wasn’t good enough. It doesn’t even matter that they smashed every other team in contention. Just that they might have caught the eye of a certain Blue Hedgehog in red sneakers.
That’s Amy Rose for ya.
This was another quick picture I threw together as a spot of practice. I wanted a chance to try to draw some alternate costumes, because I needed to get back to drawing things I couldn’t replicate from memory.
I’ve drawn Blaze and Amy so many times over the years that I can replicate every angle of their clothing in my mind’s eye. Working with the Mario and Sonic Olympic costumes was an easy choice. They are simple, and easy to draw, however I had to keep one eye on reference material to get the job done right. That’s generally how I have to work on commissions, so consider this a big jump forward to getting back on that bandwagon.
This was fun to draw though. Nice and quick. As a fun fact, you can’t see it due to the characters taking up so much space, but the duo of Sonic/Metal Sonic was DNQ’d across the board. Apparently, a fight broke out in the middle of their routine. Who-da-thunk-it.
