Those who read the Sirius series on Sexyfur know what this one's about already.
Alps became sick from an illness called Twilight Fever, which puts one in a coma and plagues them with relentless nightmares while high fever slowly destroys their body. It has the potential to leave one blind, sterilized, or dead outright.
Nidaja went to a Shaman hiding in the bowels of the city of Diera to get a cure. Her own essence was converted (in a very intimate manner) to create a cure for Alps so he'd not only recover, but also avoid the other ill effects of the disease. Nita has been watching over Alps continuously, even shirking her royal duties, and now watches nervously, hoping this will bring her lover relief, and leave him whole.
For those of you who don't know, yes, Nita and Nidaja are supposed to be green. It's a mark of the royal house. Their fur changes color due to their extremely close contact with life essence, making them powerful healers.
I was not really completely happy with this image, as the proportions seemed a bit skewed, and I am not sure this is the color green I was actually shooting for, since their fur has a little more metallic sort of sheen to it, making it a little less vibrant in color, but I have trouble reproducing that just yet, so I will have to figure out a technique for them eventually. It's a good enough representation of their characters anyway though.

I'm not really interested in a sexyfur subscription since I'd rather not do business with it's founder. I'd rather just buy direct from the artists, anyway.
I was hoping that you'd soon be publishing your stories since I remember you talking about having them published since you spoke up about it on the OKC yahoo forum many years ago. I vaguely remember you having a spat with somebody by the name of Horse's Ghost at the time.

I've never had any negative interaction with Horse's Ghost o.o my dealings with him have always been extremely amicable. Horse's Ghost is one of those furs on my "nifty" list.
As for publishing a book, it might well be in the cards, at which time you will be able to buy them direct, I'm sure. I will keep everyone posted on that.

I wasn't 100% sure about Horse's Ghost, but I do remember some odd conflict at some point with somebody. His name is just the one that sticks out in my mind. It was probably just one of those silly things people argue about that don't matter. That's probably why you don't remember it and why I don't remember what it was about. Seems like it had something to do with moral philosophy, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, I'll keep looking for your book to show up some day.
BTW, do you still live in Oklahoma or go to Oklacon?

Seems like it had something to do with moral philosophy, but I'm not sure.

I live in Texas, and avoid Oklacon because of other people that perhaps did have conflict with Horse's Ghost. While I have parted ways with said people, I am sure I will bear the social scars caused by that mess for a while. I won't drop names or spread rumors, but I am moving on with my life. :3
It has been my understanding that those in the "Eastern" part of the state are a rather immature and selfish bunch. I also don't appreciate people using furry groups for their own political agendas and special interests. It makes the group very exclusionary and off putting for those who don't like controversy.
Of those I've met in the "Central" part have been older and more sane individuals, but then again, I don't know very many furs at all in that state. And why would I want to? About every other fur out there wants to "be ur mate" even if you aren't single. I've had to make for myself a very careful screening process as to who gets to be my friend and who doesn't. I consider myself better off for it.

hmmm i remember that chapter lol especially what happened after Nidaja gave Alps the cure. I can't wait for the next chapter to come out, Ill have to renew my SF subscription but it will be worth it, not that having the subscription alone isn't worth it, I just dont have the money.
