The following is a bio card for one of my primary original characters, a young Saurian ninja by the name of 'Hakari.'

Hakari was once a member of a Saurian clan of ninjas, all tasked with protecting the innocent by any means necessary. In their case, that meant eliminating those who would harm the innocent or do their clan ill. However, despite his vigorous training and mastery of hand-to-hand combat, Hakari, in contrast to the other members of his clan, could never bring himself to end a single life. When it came to hunting his prey, a task that was a cakewalk for his brethren, the mere idea of ending life weighed far too heavily on the young ninjas soul.

He simply cared too much about all living creatures to ever snuff the life out of one, from a lowly animal to even a vicious warlord.

As such, Hakari left his clan in disgrace, filled with shame and self doubt as he wandered the land, in search of a new path, a better one. Where he could do his clan proud without having to take another life.

Some tidbits:

- Saurians are a race of snake-like reptilians, capable of shifting into human form. In his human form, Hakari is sleek, fast and has lightning reflexes. He's still strong, but not impossible to overpower. In his Saurian form, Hakari is considerably larger and stronger.

- Saurians are capable of swallowing men whole. In Hakari's case, in his Saurian form, he can swallow a man up to seven feet tall, since his stomach can expand to accommodate the size of such a large man. Many Saurians actually eliminate assassination targets by devouring them whole and digesting them down to the bone. It's a very efficient way to kill a target and leave no traces. In Hakari's case, he has swallowed many men whole, but spits them out before they can be digested.

- Hakari is a predator through and through, but never gives in to his predatory urges. As a result, whenever he eats, he tends to overindulge to accommodate for the more 'lively prey' he denies himself.

- Hakari's uniform is standard for most ninjas within his clan. His belly is bare since it's expected to expand considerably whenever devouring a target.

- Hakari puts on a very stoic front, and is very good at masking his emotions. However, deep down, Hakari is a very uncertain, timid youth, scared for his uncertain future and filled with shame. He feels shame because he fears that his inability to take life is pure cowardice, and fears that in being unable to do so, he may one day spare someone who might go onto kill someone else.

- Hakari is very reluctant to open up to others or to make friends. In his clan, he was often isolated and ridiculed for being too soft. And puts on a stoic front to keep others from getting close. However, beneath that stoic surface is a gentle soul who will always protect the innocent and go out of his way to preserve life in any way he can.

- Despite his refusal to kill, Hakari adores meat. To him, once meat has already been processed, he has no qualms about devouring it, and is grateful to any creature offered for such a delightful feast.

- Hakari is an expert martial artist, one who relies on speed and swift precision over brute strength. He only ever shifts to his more brutish Saurian form when faced with a truly vicious foe.

- Despite his moral code, Hakari can't deny that a squirmy meal is immensely satisfying, and often toys with his would-be prey to strike the fear of God into them, in the hopes that they'll be too terrified to ever cross him again.
