The Separatist fleet under the command of the dreaded General Grievash had been ravaging lightly-defended Republic installations in the Outer Rim. Its primary targets were scattered supply bases and fuel depots in the Outer Rim, which exacerbated the already-tenuous logistics of the Republic campaign in the galaxy. The dreaded general's flagship, the Ravager was said to be a modification of earlier Separatist designs, incorporating a powerful heavy ion cannon which could disable entire fleets. However, because of weaker Separatist fleet presence in the Outer Rim, the Ravager adopted a strategy of hit-and-run attacks: lightning fast raids on soft targets which employed its ion cannon to disable orbital facilities and defenses and destroy them with a withering barrage of turbolaser fire. Fuel depots, orbital drydocks, supply facilities, all were hit hard by a concerted campaign. No large Republic fleets had actually engaged the Ravager in combat, for the ship would only give combat when it possessed an advantage.
The pattern of attacks was seemingly random. The Ravager always seemed to strike in the areas where the Republic was weakest, at the most unguarded facilities.
However, the Republic won an unexpected victory thanks to the brilliant tactics of one of its commanders, a crafty Jedi Master named Adharc Ganfor. Master Ganfor was known for his exceptional skill in the Soresu lightsaber form, but also for being one of the more talented commanders fielded by the Jedi Order. Master Ganfor suspected that the Ravager was being refueled and resupplied in the middle of its flights by a fleet of supply ships. The Ravager's patterns of attack were unpredictable, and the Republic could not possibly defend all of its Outer Rim installations at once, but Master Ganfor was able to score an upset by destroying the Ravager's resupply fleet as it waited for the arrival of the ship.
Now without any new supply of fuel, the Ravager would be forced to retreat to attack Republic facilities for fuel. This would mean a prolonged operation rather than a lightning raid.
Master Ganfor's plan paid off when the Ravager was spotted near the Apatros System. The Republic fleet arrived in force, but realised quickly that they did not face the Ravager alone, for Grievash had called for Separatist reinforcements. The stage was set for a full fleet engagement.
Master Ganfor, meanwhile, would adopt an unconventional approach and directly attempt boarding of the Ravager. After fighting his way through many of its droid guardians, Master Ganfor would confront Grievash himself at his personal observation post. Grievash's fearsome MagnaGuards, while formidable, were ultimately inferior to the mind and skill of a great Jedi, and soon only the two remained.
"General Grievash, now that we have the room, perhaps the time has come to discuss the terms of your surrender?"
"Jedi scum, your lightsaber will not be the first trophy I gain, nor shall it be the last."
The two battled fiercely, each skilled in his own respect, but who, in the end, would triumph?
I got this as part of a longstanding concept by me and my good friend
thorsoneyja featuring himself as Obi-Wan Kenobi and myself as General Grievous! Of course, for the sake of story, I mixed things up a little to be a bit more fitting to our respective characters.
-Absolutely stellar work by

-My undying thanks will go to whoever can identify the origin of the ship's name.
