In the Cavern of Slime, the Royal Jelly could be found. With this Jelly, the local Alchemist could be commissioned to prepare a remedy to awaken the Seer of Miraanth, and the duo could continue on their quest. Protecting this Jelly was a hoard of mucous monsters. They inhabit skulls, and typically attack any who enter their lair. Larger ones are particularly hostile. Due to their form, physical attacks do very little damage to them, so the pair were forced to use only magic. This was no problem as the Summoner could wield her Vox or Void Magic and he could use his Ninjitzu skills.

The powered through the cave until they reached the golden Slime. This particular slime was rather large compared to all the others they've encountered until this point, and much, much more powerful. Once defeated, Catt and Flickie were breathless and exhausted. Flickie opened an empty jar he kept in his bag, and scooped some of the Jelly that flowed like a small river behind the remains of the mucous monster; the skull it once possessed, and put a quark in it. From here, they exited the cavern, ready to return to the city.
