Mirage looked at her wrapped up insolent slave of hers. She could do anything to him and wouldn't see it coming. She could caress him to lower his guard and when he'd least expect it, she'd use him as scratching post! She got close, scratching just hard enough to let her displeasure be known, but soft enough not to cut the bandages. He couldn't do anything to her. No inappropriate touching, no candid scenarios, no smart-mouth. it was all her. She could punch his mouth... or kiss his lips.
A kiss. That would totally screw with his head! Many a man have started their descent into oblivion through a kiss! But to kiss a slave? Preposterous! Then again, he's the closest being she's been with in Ra knows how long; before that she'd kept her enemies closer! Many an embarrassing situation have been shared between them, but some pleasant ones as well. In the end, he does his job, and is an amazing cook, which is perhaps why Mirage hasn't killed him many moons ago already! It didn't hurt that he was tall, dark and handsome...
Mirage shook her head. Why did her mind went to such a tangent, she didn't know. She levitated, getting close enough to pick up his scent. She needed to get closer as she wanted to say things to him by his ear, so she embraced him. Se could feel Asael's pulse quickening, no doubt surprised. He could shift his feet, legs and tail, but nothing else. Standing rigid and tall like a living statue, his snout was right beside Mirage's face, his warm breath filtering through the bandages. As she scratched him, Mirage was overcome a moment of weakness.
Asael felt a familiar sensation not felt in what seemed like a lifetime ago. Was this a kiss? Could Mirage be kissing him?! It'd definitely her scent, alright! The thought should petrify him with fear: has she lost her senses? Has she really taken a liking towards him?! Was this was a sign that something really bad was going to happen next?
Asael couldn't do anything, couldn't move, couldn't scream. The tortuous anticipation almost sent him into a nervous breakdown.
After awhile, he let this pleasant sensation get the best of him, as his tail began to wag. Death can wait.
Such an epic moment deserves an epic title, so I didn't use 'A Moment of Weakness 2'. Do you all think that the title is too much?
I just wanted to finally draw these two kissing, but felt I had to explain how it got to this point.
The description above was a spur-of-the-moment thing, as I had difficulty coming up with a proper explanation. I didn't mean to turn it into a short story of sorts. I wasn't planning to write anything of that length, but I had to explain the title and how it worked with the piece.
I don't recall the last time writing a description has taken me this long, longer than preparing the piece for uploading!
The idea of Mirage taking advantage of her prisoner has been with me for a long time. My logic is that when two people are together for a long period of time, stuff might happen. It's the whole mummification angle that's new.
I'm going to have to pay closer attention to my inking efforts. Had one too many white spots. Had to touch up most of 'em in PhotoShop.
BTW, When making this, I realized that I haven't drawn a kissing scene in close to a decade!
