One of my recent commissioners, Emrys Nyx, asked me if I might do a botanical portrait of her and her mums beautiful 13 year old dog, Samson, who passed away almost 2 weeks ago now. I was absolutely honored to be the one she came to for this precious piece, especially after losing my own dear Angel almost at the same time.

The plants chosen all have significant meaning behind them:
Blue Delphinium - Dignity, encouragement, and remembrance. It is also the July birth flower.
White Alstroemeria - Devotion and friendship, as he was her mothers best friend for 13 years.
Ferns - Sincerity and new life.


Rest in peace little Samson, I hope you're up there keeping Angel on her toes! <3
