Wooden Wonder, Mosquito at EAA
This spectacular example of the De Havilland Mosquito MK VI fighter bomber in Invasion stripes was at EAA 2019. Canadian built, this wooden skinned fighter bomber was armed with 4 20mm cannon in the belly, 4 .303 machine guns in the nose, able to carry a 2 ton bomb load and carry eight 60 pound air to ground rockets.
They also had the aircraft opened up and able to view in side the nose, cannon bay area, cockpit and port engine.
Certainly one sexy aircraft.

I really love the mosquitos, they were one of the more versatile aircraft of WW2, the British knew what they were doing when they built them.
According to one story I read, Mosquitos on a raid of a Gestapo HQ dropped a bomb right through a window into a room where files of resistance fighters were being kept.
Talk about low-level!
