One of the home builts at EAA. Yes, this is a REAL jet aircraft, note that tiny pod on the back of the fuselage is a TJ-100 by Subsonix. That engine is less than 3 feet in length.

Pretty brave to build an airplane with a V-tail. Saves some weight but is more complex and increases torsion forces on the aft when you use the rudders (not to mention a slight loss in efficiency, as the horizontal forces will be smaller than on a notmal cross or T-tail). I'd love to see it fly, though. Totally love small airplane designs for some reason. ^^

That's pretty incredible. I immediately recognized the yellow Sonex behind it- I had looked into & contemplated building this aircraft at one time. Also recognize the name Lancair and also Van's Aircraft (if that's the RV series Van's). For a while I was assisting a coworker with riveting an RV-6 which he was building.
