Yay, rats are such great pet types. If you want to try to break him from biting, you can bend your forefinger and offer the knuckle. It's sometimes too big and most rats won't bite more than they are able to because they know it can hurt their teeth.
I broke my first rat that way, but then it took another 2 weeks to break him from peeing on my arm out of spite. A little tap on his nose was given to reprimand him when he was being bad. After 2 weeks, he never bit nor used the bathroom on me ever again. Before that, he was quite rowdy and bit ANY thing that came near him.

daaaw n..n cute hehe - just wish i wasnt so afraid of things... i would have been able to take care of them better... So I got them adopted to a nice lady! She had a Nice BIG cage o.o i hear Zack is fat now =o - he's my cute ratty... She hasnt taken any pics of him... Siggy died of cancer sadly =\ *Snuggle*
I've had my two boys for about two years now. My first rat died of a URI though, he was a sweetheart though, named him Falcore after the dragon in Neverending Story. Now I keep URI meds in my freezer just in case my babies end up getting it, so I can treat them right away.
And my Zekie is a fatty too, he eats everything. Considering I usually share whatever I'm eating with them, but Zeke steals food right off my plate sometimes. He also sits on his but like a person and leans back with his big ratty tummy sticking out. He's so cute X3

its okay o..o i think he was bitey and a bully to Zacky because he had the cancer and stuff D: always in pain... etc. i felt bad for him though my mom and little brother always thought he was just evil... =\ he was cute and looked EXACTly like Zack lol... o..o they are still cute rattys! n..n *hugs* and thats bad D: even though idk what URI is... Urinary Track infection? or... something? Gah ... i confuse me o.o but yeah *hug hug hug* o.o
