This past June I did some studies of the maned wolf, and decided to wrap it up with a mixed media portrait study. The artwork is 5"x7" matted to 8"x10" on arches satin finish paper and rendered in watercolour, acryla-gouache and coloured pencil. I was initially going to put a background on this but I liked the simplicity of white and gold. A touch of genuine gold leaf was added to the piece. I enjoy adding precious metals and minerals to all my artworks because animals are precious and I love them. XD
