Sure, I'm pissed at what Marvel's been doing with the whole "We have to make everything PC now!!" thing, but I keep it to myself. I don't agree with everything they've done, nor will I, but honestly they've given me shit I really enjoy, so I can ignore the shit that I don't. Simple.

Yep, it will have Jane Foster as Thor in it, that has been confirmed by Thor: Ragnarok's director Taika Waititi, who will be directing its sequal "Thor: Love and Thunder".

They're taking a page from the relatively recent comics, and actually naming her "Thor" like it were a job title and not a person's name.

From what little information is available at present, it's likely to grow the list of MCU movies I'm not going to see.

That list is not likely, but guaranteed to get longer.

RDJ's contract was up, and he didn't want to do the films anymore. He's getting older, and actually wanted to quit after Avengers, but he was contracted to do four more films. Avengers 2, Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame. So he said he wanted to die in Endgame so that he couldn't do more films. Much like Harrison Ford with the Star Wars films, which is why they killed Han in The Force Awakens. I think Harrison said he actually wanted to die in Return, but George said no.)


Too be fair, though, Marvel had already fallen in the comics. They made Captain America black (they made Falcon the new Cap), they made The Hulk an Asian dude (Amadeus Cho), they made Thor a woman, and now they're apparently doing the Daily Double and making Iron Man a black lady.

So, yeah, never going to the theater for a Marvel film again.

Yeah, apparently Thor Odinson isn't a thing anymore, 'cause now he's just called "The Odin Son" instead of his fucking name, and "Thor" is now a fucking job title. Just because "Who so ever wields this hammer, be he worthy, shall posses the powers of Thor" does not mean they shall be *called* Thor. Just like after Odin died and Thor became the new All Father. 'All Father' was his title, but his name was still Thor. Just as the 'Odinforce' became the 'Thorforce' after he replaced his father.

So calling Jane Foster 'Thor' is just an insult to anybody who read the comics up till that point. The fact that she has his powers is fine, but call her something else. In fact they did call her something else in one of the animated direct-to-DVD movies I saw once, but I can't think of what the movie was called or what they called her. Odin even gave Jane her own hammer, just like he did with Beta Ray Bill, and Thor was still Thor.
