Kimba the white lion keeps popping up here and there, so I thought I would sketch some of the characters before bed and color it this morning. Disney doesn't seem to be a fan of this franchise to say the least

Nice one, Ringsies!
Man, I was hatin' on Lion King when I was a kid. I always felt there was some jive-ass bamboozling going on with that movie, years later I found out I was right. Disney has a habit of "re-imagining" previous works and has a hard time of giving credit where credit is due.
In any case, I really gotta go and watch more of Tezuka's works. All I've seen thus far is A Thousand and One Nights, Cleopatra, and Bagi, but the stuff he did is definitely growing on me. =)

Oh, I dunno, they apparently liked it enough to start making a movie for it but then change their plans and not own up to it, and then purchase Tezuka's studio to end the lawsuit that demanded they just give credit where it's long overdue. :V
Seriously, I love The Lion King, but they need to stop lying about it being an original idea. Everyone and their grandma knows it's Kimba smashed together with Hamlet.
