The next in my Monsters and the Maidens series. I did a poll on Twitter for who should be next and DK won! Followed closely by the Phantom & Christine and Megamind & Roxanne. It could be argued that Donkey Kong isn't really a "monster," per se, but he was a villain at one point in the Mario/Nintendo franchise, so I think he can have a spot on the Monsters and the Maidens Who Love Them line-up. Here, he and Pauline are having a banana milkshake together. I always liked Pauline, she has this kind of sexy, Jessica Rabbit lounge singer aesthetic to her. Some of you may remember, in the earlier days of Nintendo, that Pauline was Mario's girlfriend. But since he's with Peach now, why shouldn't Pauline be with DK? After all, DK has proved he's not such a bad guy.
