This gives you a shot of how they did the repairs before they just put weld on weld on weld literally this is back just ahead of the hinge at the back of the box. This is a mess and an example of what you shouldn't do you can see the cracks and those cracks go all the way under and across that bottom flat.
I'm going to have to grind or chew out with the man eater all that weld build up so the fish plate that I put in there lays flat to the original rail in places that weld is 3/8 to 1/2 an inch thick

Should I get my rubber boots the fecal matter seems to be getting a little deep here?
I know when you do repair work and you are around heavy equipment it just gets broken and you got to fix it. Whereas with this Old Mack Myron got it because a number of his other trucks were down he needed a truck and got it cheap and it runs good it's just the box it been beat to hell. I have a feeling when this rig is back on the road it's going to be a very popular truck with the drivers cuz it is a comfortable truck to drive

the lawn is mowed what little I have, I'm in the middle now of washing work clothes. Because of the environment and all the Dust I have to run them through a wash cycle twice to get the fine dust out of it flows so they don't we're out from the inside.

My only work today was shopping at Walmart and grocery shopping. I got in a nice walk between them before it got hot, so it was a productive morning.
I've spent the afternoon playing The Wild Eternal and napping inside with the A/C running. I just can't take 110 degree days like I used to when I was young and too dumb to notice.
So my day has been good also.
