You didn't think this was job was going to be easy did you? Here's a picture of the other end same side and I will be putting fish plates around the doubler they put in there along with a flat bar across the bottom to give me more strength. Also to make up for where I cant get to weld

That's pretty much what they did or as if they would have spent a hundred bucks on some 3/8 aluminum plate they would have cured the problem without much hassle so here I go trying to fix a sow's ear into a silk purse
