Have you ever tried deflating yourself with your valves? How was the experience?

Thistle: Well, there was this one time when mom made cauliflower. I hate cauliflower, so I opened my hip valves and tried to convince her that it made me spring leaks. She didn't buy it, though. she just closed them up and threatened to hook me up to the vacuum cleaner if I told any more fibs...

I do like to let myself down a bit before going to bed so I'm all squishy and comfy!

How do you re-inflate yourself? Do you have a preferred method?

Thistle: It kinda depends... I can "swallow" air that I inhale, but if I do that too much I get dizzy. Taking in air through my valves is quicker with a high volume pump. So I'm cool with either way, depending on how much air I need and how much time I have.

I know you don't like cauliflower but what's your favorite vegetable?

Thistle: Oh! lemme think! Is ice cream a vegetable?

Thistle's mom: No

Thistle: Oh.. Uh....

Thistle's mom: *Whispers in Thistle's ear*

Thistle: That's right! Ok, I do like carrots, sugar snap peas are good, snow peas are cool too, and finally brussels sprouts!

Have you ever thought about armouring yourself to protect against getting so many punctures? :P

I tried on some old surplus armor we found at an antique store, it was a little big, a little heavy, and I accidentally popped my flank trying to put it on. Mommy and daddy were upset that I touched it, but the shop owner was laughing so hard, he gave me a treat!

Are you old enough to go to school? Who is your best friend and what does he/she think about your condition?

Yes, I do go to school. Miss. Slide Rule is awesome! I do have friends! Milky White used to be my bestie, ‘cause we were kinda twinsies. But, things kinda went south when she pawned her baby brother off on me. That colt is so grabby! I was giving him a ride on the pond when he pulled the valve on my mane... her parents were so mad! I’m not allowed to see her anymore...

Then there’s Blue Sky, and Grass Cutter, the colts that made me what I am. They are both so sorry, it is kinda cute! Grass Cutter keeps bringing me treats, and Blue Sky walks me home, he kicks the sharps out of the road in front of me! Although, he doesn’t get that close to the house. Something about getting eviscerated? Daddy can be scary when he wants to be, but he jokes a lot too!
