It only took me forever but here he is <3 Tweaked his tail hair and fringe a little since I last drew him - dang I love plaits.
Fixed some of the swatches, weren't showing the overlay colours for some reason
A History/Bio of sorts:
Kal'Vaar is part of a group of Monster Hunters, contracted by others to take out the tyrants created by another collection of rather sinister beings - The Witches.
During the Salem Trials, several innocent people were lynched on the grounds of being witches - while the real witches looked on in glee, free to carry on with their havoc and mayhem. When their numbers started to dwindle and staying low was troublesome, they created two incredibly powerful monsters to act as eyes and ears for them, as well as their loyal servants - The Vampires and the Werewolves.
The Werewolves created by the witches had an undying loyalty to protect Their Witch, biting and infecting other civilians to grow their own minions for the Witches, and to take heat off of them should the civilians get too close to their identities.
The Vampires, however, sought true freedom. While on the surface they served the Witches, they wanted nothing more than to be free of their influence and create their own chaos, with perhaps a side quest of overpowering the Witches for true dominance. When the Werewolves began to grow suspicious, the Vampires attempted to turn the Witches on them, declaring that the Werewolves were not loyal to them.
This caused only a strain on all three, causing confusion and disorganisation.
Humans had grown weary - the dark magics were threatening their existence - desperately, they sought to find something, anything, that could aid them. During one successful raid on a Witch, the villagers found and deciphered an old book, detailing contracts with other worldly beings, consisting of many demonic beings such as Succubi and Oni - and called forth the First Monster Slayer.
After many contracts and deals, Werewolves, Vampires and Witches began to fall - with no Witch sightings or that of their magics since, the Monster Slayers believed Earth to be free of the pests.
That is, until one mix up in a contract caused a whole calamity to unfold...
And I finally have a base for his tale too! Hot potato, it feels good to get it out (though some stuff is hidden, I hope to do a bigger thing with it one day)
