Earlier this year I had the pleasure to work on the cover for ROAR Vol 10!
Cats!
The anthology is available now from FurPlanet!
Here's the synopsis:
This volume of ROAR explores the idea of community from every angle and with all kinds of animals. You'll find darkness inside, but you'll also find hope, help, and connections to brighten the night. These sixteen stories, from long time furry authors and rising stars, are your invitation.
So step inside and go on an adventure with an exiled fox and his friends in the rain forest. Take a hike with a fisher. Learn magic with a dragon. Attend a family reunion full of gregarious cows. Face a mystery among meerkats. Celebrate Colony Day on Mars.
You're invited to it all!

You probably just didn't notice it but it's a often portraid in furry fiction, but usually not right on the nose. Whenever a character of one species makes a generalization about another i.e. "beware foxes because they're all malicious and sleeky" or "all sergails are assholes", these are textbook examples of in-universe racism and discrimination. Just replace "fox" or "sergal" with "imigrant" or any minority and you see it. Its sometimes an important plotpoint in furry fiction too (e.g. the furry knight swearing revenge on all dragons because a group of dragons destroyed his home village). Even simple sayings like "curiosity killed the cat", which are normal for us, could be seen as a negative stereotype or racism in a furry world (depending on the world of course).
Unfortunately this sometimes reaches into the real world and furries have certain prejudices against other furs depending on their fursona's species, but that's another story.

A fantastic image, full of impact. It must have looked even better as a poster. It goes with the very good novella by Blake Hutchins, which comes at the end of the compilation; it's not until you finish that story that you realize why one of these felines is wearing the particular expression that he is. Awesome work, Teagan!
