Scratte is a female saber-toothed flying squirrel, who is completely the opposite of Scrat: cunning, elegant, beautiful and smart. The more pathetic and stupid Scrat gets, the more smart and cunning Scratte becomes. She is first battling Scrat over the acorn, but meeting Caelan along the way, knowing that he comes from the future. She is obviously far more intelligent than Scrat, much to the jungle boy's amusement. Scratte does have a love interest in both Scrat and acorns, but seems more focused on Caelan. Scratte has also seemed to emulate Caelan's behavior, such as his gluttony and love of mud, to her joy. She is Scrat's rival and former girlfriend, as Caelan has won her heart with a big meal and total commitment. As she learned that Caelan had a HUGE oak tree, she binged on a ton of acorns, resulting in her, albeit retaining her traits, to have shared Caelan's favorite foods, activities and even playing with him, resulting in the two falling in love.
