I wanted to try something a bit different with my latest galaxy piece, and did a pokéball instead of a pokémon. This took three nights to finish, each colouring session was about three or four hours of work. You can see the WIP on my Instagram
I did the base of the bottom half of the pokéball in a greyish purple copic marker, since I planned on making the shadows purple instead of, say, grey or black. I was hoping that the white would layer better onto the maker than the tan paper. It did not work so well. I think if I want to have pure white using toned paper, I might have to use white paint. Though I could just still need practice layering and blending coloured pencils. That could also help.
