20 - Dakota Sonoshee - FMW
Lap 10/68 - OculuTech's Kendrick Skunk suffers a sudden loss of engine power as it goes toward Turn 1. FMW's Dakota Sonoshee couldn't react quick enough to avoid him and the front wing of his vehicle slams onto the back of Skunk's car. The wing hooks and then suddenly veers upwards in the momentum, sending Sonoshee's car flying in the air over Skunk and in a horrifying moment, it flips and lands sideways onto the track. The car slides sideways for ten feet before it quickly 'completes' the flip to become upside-down, and it continues to slide in that position until it stops in the gravel outside the track while Skunk's totaled car slows to stop alongside it. Thankfully safety crews arrived quickly and pulled Sonoshee out of the car, and the crowds cheer in relief as TV monitors show both Kendrick Skunk and Dakota Sonoshee walking together in their own power. Both were checked out with no injuries. DNFs.
Lap 21/68 - The bad luck for FMW and OculuTech continues. Troy Ryder attempted to pass the lapped car of Adisson Tanward on Turn Five when the notoriously narrow corner became too narrow for the two cars and their tires contacted each other. Both cars veer onto the wall barriers sideways, damaging the cars. Although they had been repaired, the damaged cars could not keep up with the other competitors for the remainder of the race. Despite finishing the race, they ended up numerous laps down.
Lap 64/68 - Hamad Force's Petri Saukkonen suffers brake failure and the car careens uncontrollably onto the gravel off Turn Nine.
