I put "husky" in quotes here, because although this is exactly what most of my customers mean when they ask for a husky tail (or the even more-curled up C shaped ones), an actual breed-standard husky has a straight tail.

I can only suppose the curled tail = husky thing comes from people seeing sled dogs with curled tails and assuming they were huskies. There are quire a few sledding breeds that aren't huskies, and several have curly tails. Or something.
