I recently got a drawing tablet yesterday (Wacom One, small. 6" x 9"), after mine broke years ago, and I want to get back into drawing.
My end goal is to do digital drawing. Preferably sexy pin up art (Tig ol' bitties and what have you.), and drawing jewelry/gems.
But for now, I want to learn the fundamentals of digital art. Basic shapes and forms, shading, color theory, anatomy, perspective, ect. So for at least 1 hour every day, I'm gonna spend half of my time sketching (or chicken scratching..?) squares, triangles and circles, before I work on forms like cubes, cylinders and cones. I started out trying to drawing shapes in single lines, but felt more comfortable with scratching, something I know is illegal to do in the art world. Though it took me a while to figure out that it's okie to chicken scratch, but try to make LONGER chicken scratches. Long, confident lines, to be specific.
Of course, no need to burn myself out with JUST shapes, so on occasion I try to apply the shapes I learned into trying to find where specific shapes makes up the head.
Photoshop, with stock images found on google to use as reference to find basic shapes.
