. . . That I have no sole.
Seriously, I bought these things new at the beginning of June, a week before I went on my Bahamas cruise. Here it is the end of July and they're pretty well knackered.

Ah HA! Proof positive you've been out there and moving, that's for sure. One of my foot doctors advised me that shoes should be replaced every three to six months, but I'm the type of fellow who'll wear his shoes until they fall apart. When I was living in Oakland, I'd walk from the hills in the Piedmont Pines area to Berkeley and back, and I wore out two pair of walking shoes. Of course a lot of the Topography in that area is "Heavily inclined" so to speak.
Keep on moving Buddy. It will pay off.

Oh, noes! You have uneven wear from right to left. This can only mean one of two things. One, you need to see a chiropractor and get your spine/pelvis (sacroiliac) joint adjusted. Two, if you always take the same route in the same direction, you're turning right or left more than the other. If you changed your route this morning, it will probably show a shift of the wear pattern in a week or two.
silentpaw commented that the excessive wear was mainly due to a high-friction coating on the cruise ship I was embarked on in early June. I confess that I used their jogging track a lot during the cruise (minimum 10 pas every day). So I have new sneakers (same brand), and we'll see how they wear after two months.
