There are a few Pokemon designs that just bother the hell out of me because they have the potential to be awesome, but there's just...something...that ruins them. So I'm starting with the most notorious, the Pokemon design that absolutely NO ONE likes...Jynx.

Aside from the obvious racism controversy, this Pokemon's design totally fails to convey what it's supposed to be. You'd never guess it's ice/psychic just by looking at it. So I tried to make it look like the mysterious ice witch it should be. I reduced the number of fingers to soften the "uncanny valley" effect. Also added white fingertips to balance the white in the hair and lips.

Colors have been completely overhauled because its original pallet is just a mess. I made the colors more cohesive with eachother but kept the yellow to add some pop. I considered removing the lips since I'm not a fan of them in the first place, but since Jynx is the "kissing Pokemon" I kept them in and changed the shape to make them less jarring. I imagine it can kiss its victims to freeze them. Lastly, I thought the round eyes were jarring, so I closed them and added thick white lashes to keep with the snowy theme and add mystery to its character.
