I remember being very frustrated that whenever I found a toy I wanted at the store - which was every time we visited - mom would give the cashier money and the cashier would give mom the money back (I didn't quite get the idea of change in return). So one day I grabbed a Tonka helmet and began running for the car. My mom kept running after me shouting "I have to pay for that!" I remember making it halfway across a glass-enclosed sky bridge over a five-lane highway connecting the store with its garage before mom swept down and lifted me up and back to the cashier.

I was very annoyed.
