So one day I was talking to my very good friend 
radjinwolf and I realized something about my stories that I had forgotten over the year of writing it. Slayn is telling the story from the perspective of our time period. No, I won't go into details about HOW that's possible because that would be such a terrible spoiler, wouldn't it?
So, this is pretty much how Slayn dresses when he's prowling the streets. I almost got this done as a reference sheet but realized it'd be moot. I'm just so happy with this piece because now I have a modern reference for Slayn (and by extension my fursona. Loincloth just doesn't fit every setting).
So yes, modern Slayn done by the wonderfully awesome artist

I like the hoodie as well, the way it has a place for the ears to be covered and stick out is a real nice touch and the look he has from then and now is great. Knowing that he's telling the story from the present makes me want to read more of this story from you. I honestly can't wait for more of it, though from past tellings earlier on, it sounds like it'll be sad for Slayn what happens to bring this about.
