Ill update it with any final touch ups tomorrow.. but I couldn't wait to upload it. What can I say... I liked the way it came out.
Many thanks to
fluff-kevlar for his help on the wings.

Btw, I recorded part of the process for anyone who is interested. I do this because what I do is all sorts of convoluted and I'm always up for improving.. even if it's on how I draw and not necessarily the final product.

I was speechless for forever while viewing this. :<
It's just too beautiful for words. Ajna's gonna completely freak and kill you for making this so awesome. Then she's gonna devour your brain so she can inherit the awesomeness.
My only question:
I see that some of the foliage is colored and highlighted and such, but in the lower right corner there are a few transparent leaves overlapping - did you use a brush for those, or are they free-hand?

Wonderful work with well everything really. You ever have that dream where you could fly, and you jump off some tall cliff or building with reckless abandon spreading your wings for the first time. Thats what it brings to my mind at least. >////< Don't mind me! Just gonna go into a hole over here... It inspires a lot of emotion, all of it pleasant. YOU GET A GOLD STAR!
It probably seems minor but your feet have improved a great deal. I'm not trying to get you self concious or anything, on the contrary. I find your images to be beautiful, regardless of if it's porn or a simple pose or just something like this.
So like I said it may seem trivial, and I'm not even "into" feet, I still had to throw it out there.
Unrelated side comment: I also like your nipples. Well not your... nipples... that'd be kinda creepy. The color work of them, I mean.

Feet and hands... those are my Achiles heal (what?). The way certain body parts connect to each other being a close second. I did find that I was over thinking several several things (like feet for example) and that it came much more naturally to me the less I thought about it. Glad I am improving though.
It's stunning. I honestly couldn't be happier with this picture. The pose is nothing I had in mind, yet you captured what I wanted perfectly. She looks so happy and set free. The background is beautiful, too. You really took this beyond my expectations. I knew it'd be incredible, but I didn't know how much. Thank you so much ^_^ I wish I had more to say to describe just how much I love it, but I'm really at a loss for words. <3
I'm really glad to hear it. I know what the description you gave me was... but I had to show off what I wanted to do with the wings the moment I read it. Factoring the forrest was a bit tricky given the angle... so I was open to hear any suggestions you had on it. I tried not to be too heavy handed about the background until I got some input.... but if you like it I like it!
It turned out excellently, as I expected. I thought it was well done at each step in the process and the end result is certainly no exception. I love her expression and I thought the rose and petals blowing were a nice touch, and I also like the proportions that were used for her body. Your coloring is, of course, amazing. Thanks for allowing me to steal some of your time!
A beautiful piece, wow. Your videos are all kinds of educational too! Lots and lots of layers.
Although I'm confused between the blocking out with the white, and then getting the pieces on their own layers. It's like you locked the transparency on the white layer but was working on a different one with the same restrictions?

I didn't block it out in white. What I did was use the magic wand around the lineart and then made a new layer and filled it with grey. From there I ctrl+clicked the layer to make the selection again and I moved it around by a margin of a few pixels to help make it easier filling in the gaps and I do this until such a time where I am able to invert the selection with everything contained.
All of this relies on ctrl+clicking layers to make selections. It also involves ctrl+shifting another layer to add to the selection or ctrl+alting to subtract from it. I didn't save selections, I didn't make groups, I didn't use any trick. All I used where the non antialiasing tools and layers to make most of the selections, the rest coming from inverting or subtracting certain combinations of selections to create new selections.
The end result are seven or so layers with individual parts and one with all of the parts combined. From there I just make selections on the fly by ctrl+clicking the layer to target specific areas and work on random layers.. mismatching the way I build up on colours between layers in a seemingly incomprehensible way.

The wings don't seem to line up correctly, and the tail appears as though it doesn't as well. Having pants on would create a slight bend in the tail (assuming they aren't assless pants), which isn't shown in the picture. Who knows, she could just have an incredibly long tail base.
I'm not sure if the wings are supposed to be attached to her back or not, but in this case they don't look like they are. Perhaps those are the finishing touches you had in mind.
Just don't change your style. Everyone has room for improvement, but I honestly can't see how your coloring and shading could get any more awesome. Not many artists are willing to create such amazing backgrounds without losing the character as the absolute focus. Kudos.
Tip of the Day: Steer clear of Kesarra's avatar whenever writing or doing anything that requires a hint of concentration.

something alot of people refer to in outfits of their characters are the Addition of things like tail buttons on the back of their pants that way the tail rests naturally and isnt uncomfortable for a character were they to voice their actual opinion on such clothing, i would imagine her jeans would have a tail opening and a button to go over it in the back.
take into account the angle? and how much you cant see behind her? when looking at things like an image such as this perspective can modify things quite a bit, plus seeing as these are creatures that dont exist in anything to our knowledge but imagination than anything such as a tails position is up to the creators alignment.
I made that particular one myself.
It really needs an update.. that or I need to diversify my selection with other broad shapes.
Here are both versions though.

I think this is one of your most beautiful and expressive pieces to date. The pose and the wings are just amazing. The background is gorgeous as well.
I hope this doesn't offend you but I really hope I get to commission you one day you're one of the few artists I would spend ALOT of money on XD;;

Wow, I really have become a sort of 'fan' to your art. Its breath taking, beautiful and well done. It also improves with every picture you make. I like to show off your work sometimes to friends, even if they don't like furry most of them are always wowed.
Hehe sorry for that bit of sucking up :P anyways great work, keep it up! I really love what you do. :3

Tsam, you deserve all my thanks about this masterpiece. because i must say that you did it excellently great, indeed. as i said before i wouldn't be surprised to see it in colors. however, i'm surprised to see how you procedeed for the coloring himself.
i watched the second video because coloring is a important part of the job that interests me, indeed. you started by doing the decor. any artist would have started by coloring the first plan before the second plan (background), but you, you used the Backwards mode! very meticulous, the add of leaves and all. i loved.
then, coloring the character seeming a way easy but somewhat long, knowing that you haven't used the wand tool to target certain parts. buuut, maybe i'm wrong too. however, i find your coloring less full of shading and lighting. well, very interesting, indeed, your videos. that let us know how you color and all, indeed.
there is something that makes "tilt" in my head: the wings. they seems attached to AJ's back, from her neck, to her hips. that's maybe a default. and looks like someone already said this remark. boh, nevermind
Apparently, you kept that masterpiece on your gallery folder, i hope for you that he'll not go to join the other one in your scraps, knowing God only knows how many hours you worked on it. no, Tsam, because you sure must be proud of your work.
Big up, artist.

This picture is very gorgeous, and a treat, I mean look at all the compliments you get ;) But I also thank you for posting video links because now i see that a small touch of color in the right places can make the biggest impact. I tend to over-do-it with my colors and things tend to look like over sugared cake turds. Thanks for posting new work, you're a big inspiration and I am quite fond of your coloring technique.
You know.. I did record most of it. Although I can slow it down if you'd like here is what I have. Btw I love how uploading videos takes less time than caching them for me.
