The Nuclear City, the most dangerous city of the country. The attorney Zeus Ferrer and his pregnant wife are killed by a gang of young criminals, in front of their little kids Apollo and Atlas. Orphaned and homeless, the Ferrer brothers are taken to an orphanage; there they meet Natasha Starobinskaya and Hitsumi Murakami, two girls who, like the little brothers, lost their parents in very similar violent events.
Joined by tragedy, as the 4 children grow up in the orphanage, a solid friendship is being forged between them, strengthening and evolving over time; becoming, more than a simple love affinity, in a true family relationship.
15 years later the guys, now adults and outside the orphanage, decide to stay together for life. But, in an unexpected turn of destiny, they will face up those who stole their innocence and happiness years ago.
By 1996 I started this series that I called first “Los Justicieros”; but for that same time, The Slayers anime was released in Mexico, which was translated into Spanish as Los Justicieros; so I changed the name to “Los Justicieros de Cd. Nuclear” (Nuclear City Avengers) and later to “Los Justicieros de la Noche” (The Night Avengers) and finally “Los 4 Justicieros” (Four For Justice).
In those years Tijuana was considered one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico (unfortunately, it still being) and I wanted to take this as the main plot for a new series; something more crude and with a theme to think: violence in cities.
With 10 main characters in total, I wrote up to 23 chapters. Unfortunately the plot became too tangled and unstable to keep and I left the series unfinished by 1998.
Facts about this series:
1.- It was the first series to be set in another city (The Catinga and Catinga 215 series were set in the same city-place).
2.- I used a new form of characters, moving more far away from the Sonic base of the first 2 series.
3.- I included a greater number of elements from the anime.
4.- Natasha and Hitsumi are foreigners; Apollo and Atlas are local.
5.- Natasha is a communist girl.

Ciudad Nuclear, la urbe más peligrosa del país. El abogado Ferrer y su esposa embarazada son asesinados a sangre fría por una pandilla de delincuentes juveniles, ante la atónita mirada de sus pequeños hijos Apolo y Atlas. Huérfanos y desamparados, los hermanos Ferrer son llevados a un orfanato; ahí conocen a Natasha Starobinskaya y Hitsumi Murakami, dos niñas que, al igual que los hermanos, perdieron a sus padres en eventos violentos muy semejantes.
Unidos en la tragedia, conforme los 4 niños van creciendo en el orfanato, se va forjando un lazo de amistad entre ellos, que va fortaleciéndose y evolucionando con el tiempo hasta hacerse, más que amor entre parejas, un lazo de familia.
15 años después lo chicos, ahora adultos y fuera del orfanato, deciden seguir juntos por la vida. Pero un giro inesperado del destino enfrentará a estos 4 justicieros frente a aquellos que les robaron su inocencia y felicidad años atrás.
Para 1996 inicié esta serie llamada en un principio Los Justicieros; pero por esos mismos años se estrenó en México el anime The Slayers, el cual fue traducido al español como precisamente Los Justicieros; por lo que cambie el nombre a Los Justicieros de Cd. Nuclear y posteriormente Los Justicieros de la Noche y finalmente Los 4 Justicieros.
En aquellos años Tijuana era considerada una de las ciudades más peligrosas de México (lamentablemente, lo sigue siendo) y quise tomar esto como base de una nueva serie; algo más cruda y con un tema para reflexionar, la violencia en las ciudades.
Con un total de 10 personajes principales, logre escribir 23 capítulos. Desafortunadamente el argumento se hizo complicado de mantener y deje inconclusa la serie en 1998.
Hechos sobre esta serie:
1.- Fue la primera ambientada en otra ciudad (Las series Catinga y Catinga 215, estaban ambientadas en la misma ciudad).
2.- Use una nueva forma de personajes, alejándome más de la base de Sonic de las 2 primeras series.
3.- Incluí un mayor número de elementos provenientes del anime.
4.- Natasha y Hitsumi son extranjeras; Apolo y Atlas son locales.
5.- Natasha es comunista.
